ABOUT ABOUT

"Now I take the brush so gently
In my hand with loving care
Watch the color flow so softly
On the paper clean and clear"

Join the Waldorf School of Baltimore at The Painting Workshop this spring to discover the magic of Wet-on-wet watercolor painting. Wet-on-wet watercolor painting is a staple of Waldorf education, and offers a beautiful introduction to the world of colors.

This program is best suited for children aged 2.5-7

Workshop Pop-Up Dates: Thursday, May 26th 10am

About Wet-On-Wet Painting:

The Waldorf style of wet-on-wet painting allows young children the opportunity to deeply experience color before "worrying about" form. Because the wet paint is laid on wet paper, the colors flow, blending into one another in beautiful, unexpected ways. It is a rich and satisfying artistic experience, enriched and enlivened with color stories and verses specifically chosen for Early Childhood . For parents the near-meditative style of wet-on-wet painting offers a welcome respite from the end-result orientation of adult lives! Your work can be turned into lovely cards, book covers, paper lanterns, and more.
