Hands on Holiday: Summer Solstice
Join the Early Childhood Teachers from the Waldorf School of Baltimore at the Ivy Bookshop under the covered patio for festive and fun seasonal celebration of the longest day of the year.
This special program is best for children up to age 7 and will include songs, story time, a seasonal craft and a nourishing and refreshing snack. Families are welcome to sit on a blanket brought from home to complete your craft and enjoy your snack spread out on the Ivy's expansive wooded grounds.
Make a day of it by bringing a picnic brought from home, explore the grounds and browse the Ivy Bookshop’s extensive collection of books including many seasonal and childhood favorites.
Festivals and seasonal events are an important aspect of Waldorf education. They are celebrations that bring rhythm and order to the year and meaning to our lives. We think you will find our gathering to be a simple and joyful way to celebrate the season with your family.
